The morning began at Green Brier Campground with a walk around the lake and a try at fishing. However, Glen did forget to stop for bait.....the fish were not biting his lures. Ha Ha! But the walk was nice, mostly in the shade which is a plus.
We (I) stopped at the concessions stand by all the 'day' campers and got a hotdog and a 'freshly squeezed' lemonade. It was wonderful! I sat under the trees to enjoy my indulgence.
Later we sat under our awning out of the rain and planned our next few days, tonight, maybe some cards.
I am pretty sure this is what this trip is about mostly, taking it slowly and enjoying the moments.
Glens says: Man is it hot
Since leaving the mountains it’s been 90-101 degrees with humidity I haven’t felt since visiting Charleston. Rocinante is a beautiful machine with its air conditioning and riding like a Mercedes, life is very comfortable inside her.
Today we explored the Greenbrier State Park in Maryland with a HOT (very hot) hike around the lake.
Returning to camp we decided to plan our Niagara Falls adventure by signing up for the 6 hour tour this Friday July 6.
Well deserved, long time coming Adventure..God Bless,, ENJOY!!
