Anyway, We snagged a spot at Doheny State Beach. We can hear the waves crash as I write but cannot see them because a dune prevents that.
We biked to breakfast this morning to Proud Mary's on the harbor. An excellent spot I might add. Then continued our ride up the coast and walked out on a large breakwater protecting another park with beach access.
After a rest back at camp we hit the beach and Glen did get in the water this time. It was much warmer water that it was at Zuma even though the day was a bit cloudy. I would have joined Glen but the life guard told be there were riptides and lots of sting rays in the water. Yikes. I went in just far enough to share that news with Glen. But before I got out a wave knocked me over and I hit the water and sand hard. No damage just a bit embarrassed.
After dinner we sat around the fire enjoying the sounds and smells of camping at the beach.
Tomorrow we finally get new batteries for Roci and then head to Hemet to visit Glen's brother Greg. We have not been together for a while and are looking forward to having a bit of time together. We have known each other since about 13 or 14 years old living next door in Reseda, CA. Good Times!
